A Good Life — 12-Month Warranty

At A Good Life, every piece of furniture is handcrafted using premium Canadian pinewood, imported from Canada and New Zealand and selected for its natural strength, fine grain and lasting beauty. We stand behind the quality of our work with a 12-month warranty on all structural defects in materials and workmanship.

What Is Covered

This 12-month warranty covers the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship, including:

  • Structural failure of joints, frames or load-bearing components under normal indoor use
  • Splitting or cracking caused by manufacturing defects (not natural wood movement)
  • Failure of joinery, interlocking components or hardware supplied with the product

The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase is required for all claims.

Natural Wood Characteristics — Not Defects

Canadian pinewood is a living material with inherent characteristics that are part of its natural beauty and are not considered defects under this warranty:

  • Knots and grain variation — each piece has a unique grain pattern and knots that vary in size and placement
  • Color change and patina — pinewood naturally deepens and warms in tone over time with light exposure; this is expected and desirable
  • Sap pockets — small resin pockets may be present within the wood grain
  • Minor checking — hairline surface cracks along the grain may appear as the wood acclimatizes to your home's humidity and temperature; these are a natural response and do not affect structural integrity
  • Slight movement — wood expands and contracts with seasonal changes in humidity; this is normal behavior for solid wood furniture

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage from outdoor use or exposure to rain, direct sunlight or extreme humidity
  • Water damage, heat damage or staining from liquids, spills or cleaning agents
  • Damage caused by misuse, neglect or accidental impact
  • Modifications, repairs or alterations made by anyone other than A Good Life
  • Normal wear and tear, including surface scratches, dents or finish changes over time
  • Cosmetic aging, including natural color shifts or patina development
  • Commercial or non-residential use
  • Products purchased from unauthorized resellers

How to Make a Claim

To submit a warranty claim:

  1. Email us at hello@agoodlife.in with the subject line: Warranty Claim — [Your Order Number]
  2. Include your proof of purchase (order confirmation or invoice)
  3. Attach clear photographs of the issue from multiple angles
  4. Describe the defect and how it occurred

We will respond within 5 business days with next steps.

Remedy

Upon verification of a valid warranty claim, A Good Life will, at its sole discretion:

  • Repair the defective product
  • Replace the defective component or product with the same or equivalent item

We reserve the right to determine the appropriate remedy based on the nature of the defect.

Governing Law

This warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other rights which vary by state or country. This warranty is governed by the laws of India.

Are knots and grain variation in Canadian pinewood covered as defects?

No. Knots, grain variation, sap pockets, minor checking and natural color patina are inherent characteristics of Canadian pinewood and are not considered defects under the A Good Life 12-month warranty. These traits are part of what makes each piece unique.
