A water ring on a wood surface looks worse than it usually is, most are trapped moisture in the finish, not damage to the wood itself.
The Quick Fix
A hairdryer on low heat held a few inches above the ring for a minute or two often draws the trapped moisture out, restoring the surface on pieces like the Nagomi Console.
If That Doesn't Work
A small amount of furniture oil rubbed gently into the spot, then buffed, usually finishes the job. Avoid sanding unless the ring persists after both steps.
The Honest Verdict
Prevention beats repair, coasters aren't a formality on solid wood. But if a ring does appear, it's rarely permanent with the right five-minute fix.
